The villagers of Renatus led a simple life before we came here. But with our arrival, they have been exposed not only to our wondrous technology and magic, but also our war with the Endermen and their minions. They flocked back to the villages, seeking shelter from the attacks. With the citizens of Renatus culling some of the Endermen, there has been a population boom! This has led to overcrowding in some villages, and the people there have left to seek refuge elsewhere.
They see what steps have been taken to ensure the safety of Mykeff under the watchful eye of Ruigi of Nilsbane. They see that Rish is almost fully protected as well, thanks to the construction efforts of several Thetisians. Seeking the protection that being next to a city offers, villagers have banded together to found the village of Kofodshire next to the site of the newest city, Icarus. They are optimistic that the residents of Icarus will protect them from the Endermen with sturdy walls and battlements!
But what of the other villages? There have been rumblings from the people of Kemitobek, who feel their tiny desert village has been ignored in favor of the green pastures of Rish, and are considering petitioning another city for protection. Likewise, the city of Dijai has been providing the people of Nilsbane with crops, but have yet to receive the protection and renovation that Mykeff has enjoyed, and city loyalty has become a bit of a hot button issue at the local town meetings.
What will become of these villages? Will the city of Nilsbane wall off Kemitobek and create an outpost right outside Thetis' walls? Will Dijai be overtaken by Laverna's thieves, and serve as an ambush point for travelers on their way to enjoy the distractions of the Crystal Dome? Will Thetis stake their claim outside of Icarus in an effort to gain control of the rich supplies of spruce coming out of Frostwood? Or will the monks come down from the mountain and begin converting the towns into religious retreats? And where will the next village pop up?

The opportunity is at hand! If you are interested in attempting to claim a village in the name of your city, talk to your leader! They may be willing to negotiate a deal with the leader of another city. Or, if negotiations fail, it may come down to which residents have the sharper swords!
