    Background:

In the world of Renatus starvation, monsters and players are real threats. After narrowly escaping Sevarna as droves of creepers bombarded its walls you come to realize the world has plunged into chaos. Separated from friends and family you flee to the outer reaches of Renatus in search of refuge. Early on, the entire map will be an open PVP zone as players struggle to survive, displaced from the only home they ever knew.

    Player Driven PVP Zones:

The world is only as safe as the players make it. As you decide to settle within a particular city, you will need to band together with your fellow residents to build walls and other means of protection to clearly define your city area. Once the outer defenses of your city are completed, you city area now shifts from a PVP zone to a safe zone. Players can further increase safe zones through the construction of reinforced outposts between cities who choose to align together or by constructing battlements around resources, such as walls around an entrance to a mine outside of your city.

    Dynamic PVP Mapping:

It is crucial that upon completion of an area you would like to be considered a safe zone you declare the area to an Operator. You can do this by providing a brief description of the project e.g. city walls complete or outpost complete and provide coordinates. An online Operator will go to the location and review it. If the area has been effectively protected it will be added to the safe zones which will be represented on a map of Renatus.

    Permanently Designated PVP Zones:

    Under development.

Code of Conduct for Safe Zones:

If you are in pursuit of a player and they enter a safe zone, you must immediately cease hostile actions against that player. Similarly, players in a safe zone cannot cause harm to players outside the safe zone as that would create an unfair advantage as the player in hostile territory would be unable to retaliate. If you believe you have been attacked in violation of these rules, notify an Operator immediately.
